The SIOM Operations Management specialization empowers each engineer with sharp engineering and scientific capabilities along with smart business management disciplines. The students are dressed to tackle planning, development, and implementation tribulations that their organization might confront. The curriculum deals with topics such as supply chain management, project management, technology management, modeling dynamic systems, and quality management.

Batch Size: 135 (Batch 2018-20)

Batch Composition: For the batch 2018-20, there are 73% male students and 27% female students. 85% of the students of this batch have at most 11 months work experience (including fresh graduates). Among the candidates with work experience, 45% has work experience of 2-3 years and 26% have 1-2 years.44% of the students belong to Mechanical, Production, Automobile and Allied subject whereas 30% belong to Electronics, Electrical and allied streams.

Placement: 44 companies visited the campus during the final placement of the 2016-18 batch. 21 students of the batch also received Pre – Placement Offers (PPO). The highest CTC offered was Rs 21 Lakhs with an average of Rs 10.06 Lakhs and a median of Rs 9.87 Lakhs. Around 30% students got placed in each of Consulting and IT domains.A snapshot of the sector wise recruiters are as follows:

Admission Process: Each student desirous of admission to SIOM must appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, which is a common written test for the admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes. Short-listed Applicants based on SNAP scores will be called for the selection process at SIBM, Pune. This process includes Group Exercise, Personal Interaction & Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT).
