MBA (HRD) program of the Department of Commerce has been designed to cater to the growing needs of industry and business for professionally qualified young men and women in Human Resource and Organizational Development. MBA (HRD)’s objective is to provide quality education to highly motivated, bright young men and women so that they can provide professional expertise to business and industry in human resource and organizational development.

Batch Size: 74

Batch Composition: For the batch of 2017-19, the overall batch size is 53. Out of them, there are 22 female candidates. Approximately 48% of the batch consists of students who have prior work experience. 36% of the batch has work experience of up to 24 months. Half of the batch has an engineering degree while 26% are commerce graduates and 11% are arts graduate.

Placements: For the batch of 2017-19, the highest CTC was Rs 20 Lakhs. The average CTC of the batch was Rs 9.64 Lakhs and the median CTC was Rs 9.18 Lakhs. For the Batch of 2017-19, the average and median stipend stood at INR 40,000 and INR 30,000 respectively with Highest stipend going up to INR 1,40,000.

Admission Process: The admission to MBA (HRD) course will be done through a three-layered process including CAT percentile, matriculation, and 10+2 marks; GD, extempore; and Interview score subject to approval from University of Delhi. This is done with a view to identify and process the interpersonal skills in addition to the overall knowledge of the students. Candidates are required to submit their CAT score after appearing in the Common Admission Test conducted by IIMs. Thereafter, the candidates which are short-listed based on their CAT percentile will be called for GD, extempore and personal interview.
