MBA Full Time at IIT Delhi is aimed to develop holistic managers who internalize a synthesis of conventional and modern management – thinking and who can comfortably adapt to changing business requirements. The program provides the students with various routes to the industry, matching its requirements with their skills and predispositions. Every student gets the opportunity to take courses in major streams: Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management and Operations Management. Along with the functional areas of specialization, the students also get a cross functional perspective.
Batch Size: 91 (batch of 2016-18)
Batch Composition: The batch 2016-18, comprised of 30% female students and 70% male students. Only 20% of the students were fresh graduates and the rest had work experience. The average work experience of the entire batch was 30 months. Approximately half of the work experience students had experience of 24-36 months.
Placements: 56 companies participated in the placement process for the batch 2016-18 out of which 29 were first time recruiters. Altogether 91 students got a total of 102 offers out of them 25% were Pre-Placement Offers (PPO). 27% students got offers in various leadership roles. The highest CTC offered was Rs 26 Lakhs and an average CTC for the entire batch was Rs 16.54 Lakhs. The average CTC for the top 25% students was Rs 20.06 Lakhs. Some of the top recruiters include – Google, Amazon, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, TI, Hero, IBM, HP, IOCL, VLCC, Everest, HDFC among others.
Admission Process: Each candidate applying to this college must have taken CAT. The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for shortlisting the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. The final selection will be made based on the candidate’s performance in the CAT as well as in the Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience).
