New Delhi: Gujarat-based Adani Power Ltd (APL), part of the US$ 5 billion Adani Group, is to set up a coal-based thermal power project of 1320 mega watt (MW) in Chhindawara district in Madhya Pradesh.
Adani Power MP Ltd, a subsidiary of APL, has invited bids through international competitive bidding for 1320 super critical parameters thermal power project.
Adani group is also in the process of setting up power projects in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. In Gujarat, APL is setting up a 4620 MW power plant in Mundra. APL is also setting up a 3300 MW power plant at Tiroda in Maharashtra while a 1320 MW project will be set up in Kawai in Rajasthan.
APL has also inked Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with state power utilities in Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
