The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) was introduced for the first time in the year 2002 for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes conducted by Gujarat Technical University. There is a separate test under the same banner which takes admission to the MCA programme offered by universities in Gujarat. However for those who are interested in both the fields would be required to give a combined test instead of both the above. GCET from 2009 onwards moves to an online or computer based format wherein the students can take up exam in the slated period only.
For the admission process one has to appear in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) which is conducted in the month of June every year.
